This website was created for a web-research project for the course "Canadian Culture and Evangelism" at Master's
College and Seminary, in Toronto, Ontario.. It has been constructed by a topic research group, consisting of Crystal-Lynn
Heath-Card, James Nelson, Janet Strickland & Karl Zwirner. The intent of the assignment is to provide you with a valuable
research tool to use in understanding the issues and trends related to the rise of spirituality in Canada.
It has
been created with a view that to effectively evangelize our neighbors and fellow citizens with the gospel of Jesus Christ,
one must first assess the "pulse" of the nation: The views, beliefs and faith of its constituency, and what is driving the
country to an increase in spirituality. It is our hope and prayer that the material in this report may give you an emic perspective
of the cultural diversity of our nation, its various religions and faiths, allowing you an enhanced understanding of how to
engage Canadians in a meaningful way at their level and from the perspective of their world-view. Understanding a person or
people group, can help develop interpersonal rapport by showing them respect, allowing us a better chance of presenting the
Good News of Jesus Christ.
This site is by no means exhaustive, but rather a small glimpse into the exciting and
challenging ministry of Evangelism. Enjoy!
